Volunteers Needed For Pack Teams By WAUSHARA COUNTY FOOD PANTRY

Organized by the WAUSHARA COUNTY PREVENTION COUNCIL

A network of committed community members and organizations who collaborate and advocate for effective prevention programs serving Waushara County.

Looking to give back to the community, but not interested in a weekly commitment? The Waushara County Food Pantry is seeking volunteers to pack boxes of nonperishable food needed to support the county’s mobile food pantries. Approximately 1500 boxes of food are needed each month to support four mobile pantry locations in Waushara County. The next mobile food pantries will be held the third week of April 2022.

Packing takes place Thursday mornings from 9am-Noon. Alternate packing dates and times can be arranged to accommodate volunteer schedules. The next scheduled packing date is Thursday, March 24th from 9am-Noon at the Plainfield warehouse.

Groups of friends, co-workers, families, school or church groups, 4H, Kiwanis, Lions, Rotary and other clubs and organizations are encouraged to volunteer. Come with friends or volunteer and meet others who call Waushara County home. Consider volunteering once or make a commitment to volunteer on a regular basis. The ideal group is 6-8 individuals working in three-hour shifts.   No heavy lifting is involved, and packing takes place at the pantry warehouse located near Plainfield.
